If so then come join us at the Trinity Centre to make new friends over a tea or coffee.
Based in the heart of Cardiff City Centre, this magnificent building has been a welcoming space in the community for over 100 years. A place where people can gather to meet new people, make life-long friendships, and discover all the wonderful things Cardiff has to offer, through regular conversations with one another.
At the Trinity Centre, every Wednesday morning from 10:30am- 12:00pm all are welcome to join us for a Coffee Morning and Warm Space in which we provide hot drinks, biscuits, soup and other refreshments over our conversations.
Organised by volunteers from the Cardiff Methodist Circuit, our coffee morning is not just a safe space to come and share snacks but more importantly to feel that sense of community.
One refugee who comes here weekly to join us for hot drinks and refreshments said that the coffee morning for her is a place where she can come to practice her English as well as meet with familiar faces whom she has been seeing at the Trinity Centre for many years now.
Mike Espirian who is a familiar face around the Trinity Centre and has been a part of this community since 2006, regularly comes every Wednesday morning often tends to bring new friends. As a native Arabic speaker, he often helps our wonderful volunteers to communicate with many of the asylum seekers and refugees who come down to join us as for many of them, English is not their first language.
Over the past few weeks, some of the people who have joined us at the centre during the coffee morning and warm space have travelled to Wales from Hong Kong, Pakistan, Turkey, Sudan, Iraq, Syria and Nigeria among many other countries.
